Welcome to Sands Northern Ireland

If you missed the Sands NI Appeal on BBC Radio Ulster, you can listen to it here.

Sands is working to support bereaved parents and families, and to press for improvements in care during pregnancy and when a baby has died.

Working to support bereaved families

“He was beautiful; perfect in every way, except he never took his first breath, and we never heard him cry.”

Sands offers support to anyone affected by the death of a baby: parents, family and friends, health and social care professionals or anyone who comes into contact with bereaved parents and is seeking advice.

We offer support whether your baby died recently or long ago.

We aim to support people through a pregnancy subsequent to the death of a baby, and those who have had a termination for medical reasons.
