In 2013 in the UK, one in every 137 babies was either stillborn or died in the first 4 weeks of life

Here in N. Ireland, over 3 babies a week are stillborn or die in the first 4 weeks of life.

We support all bereaved parents who have lost their babies, before, during or shortly after birth.

Toy Box Appeal

for Lights of Love

Two years ago we introduced the Toy Box Appeal to the Carol services. Here we explain a little more about the appeal and how you can get invloved

We are inviting parents to purchase a toy/gift for the age their child would be this Christmas, wrap it, label it boy or girl, include the age and, when placing the card on the tree, place the toy/gift under the tree.
Many parents have an urge or need to buy a toy or gift for their baby at Christmas but feel it is somehow wrong or worry that friends & family won't understand.
We do not think it is wrong and encourage parents to contribute to the Toy-Box appeal, if they wish to.
The toys/gifts will be donated to The Salvation Army & St Vincent De Paul Christmas Family Appeal after each service.
One Mum from last year said of the toy-box appeal "The head nod of understanding, the shoulder tap of courage, the hugs of love from fellow parents all touched our hearts warmly. We attended with our precious little daughter Aimee, who proudly presented her gift of a little teddy bear for a Baby Boy; we were delighted to have the opportunity to participate in this new initiative; it helps to make a positive difference in some little one’s life. The Lights of Love stars for 2012 were proudly placed on our little boys Christmas tree. Thank you".
